Counselling and Psychotherapy Office with stunning sea view.
About Me
My name is Kamil, I am fully qualified, MBACP Accredited and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental environment for individual clients and couples. I truly believe that change is possible for everyone. I have confidence to be able to provide enough support to help you to find the best coping strategies to change your life for the better.
Together we will identify your problems, focus on finding solutions and discover your best coping strategies for all that life throws at you. I use mindfulness, breathing exercises, muscle relaxation and many more strategies.
We will challenge your beliefs and look at different perspectives. Together we will challenge negative thoughts and help you focus on your attachment styles which we have all unconsciously learnt from childhood; looking at how they play significant roles in our current relationships.
I have experience working with clients suffering from a wide range of issues which include; depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger, rage, relationship issues, childhood abuse, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, bullying, sadness, coping with serious health conditions, stress, suicidal thoughts, personality disorders, despair, change, addictions, low self-confidence, self-harm, trauma, grief, identity, sexual orientation.
I have a straight forward, caring and honest attitude. I am passionate in supporting you to live your best possible life.
Person Centred Approach
Help for Your Life
Therapy sessions are face to face in my own home therapeutic office or online and last one hour. I am a native Polish speaker and can carry out sessions in both English and Polish.
LGBTQ+
Needs Specific to the LGBTQ+ Community
I am trained to work with gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender and queer clients as well as other representations of sexual orientations and gender identities.
I can help with difficulties around 'coming out', stigma, impact on mental health, childhood bias, gender identity, high risk sexual behaviours and look to create goals and specific treatment plans.
I create a safe space for you to be able to be yourself. If you are struggling with sexuality or gender I am able to support you on your journey with a full awareness of the specific pressures faced by the LGBTQ+ community.
Tools
Guidance, Inspiration and Support
I use a variety of practical tools along side the therapeutic practises, these include; Sand tray - this can help you to see your own world from different perspectives, allowing you to stand back and reflect on your life.
Emotion Cards - giving you a visualisation to name your emotions and how they evolve through your life.
Relationship Cards - helping you to stand back and reflect on key relationships in your life, where you fit in and how they impact on you.
EMDR - I now offer EMDR as part of your counselling journey, I can offer this face to face or online. This is included as part of your normal session fee.
Relationship and Couples Therapy
Get the Most out of Life
I am a fully qualified couple and relationship therapist, holding an advanced certificate in relationship therapy approved by The College of Sexual and Relationship Therapies. I am able to help you find the right balance of understanding within your relationship. I work with couples in conflict looking to find positive conflict management techniques, dealing with affairs and the anger, blame, frustration and lack of trust this can bring. Together we will work to see how you can meet your partners needs and explore how each of you can have your needs met in the relationship.
I can help with communication, negotiation and understanding your relationship dynamics. I also can address sexual issues such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, loss of desire and vaginismus.
I am qualified to work with couples, siblings, friends, parents or any other important relationship where additional support can help.
I have experience working with same sex couples and supporting with dynamics, strengths and vulnerabilities that are specific to this.
